Bill Mims

William Cleveland Bill Mims is a former Attorney General of Virginia and current Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia. He served as a Republican in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1992 to 1998 and the Senate of Virginia from 1998 to 2006, when he was appointed Chief Deputy Attorney General by thenAttorney General Bob McDonnell. When McDonnell resigned in February 2009 to run for governor, the Virginia General Assembly elected Mims to complete McDonnells term. Mims did not seek election to a full term and was succeeded by Ken Cuccinelli in January 2010.
